PrezCon 2013 “The Winter Nationals” in our 20th year of offering tournament gaming! PrezCon has been running the NACC qualifier event for many years now and would like you to attend PrezCon and play in our Settlers of Catan event. We offer a travel award of up to $500 on top of the free Hotel and admission into GenCon. Last year we had 93 players in our Settlers event. Please come and see if you have what it takes to win your trip to GenCon! The first round of this event starts Feb 20th. Go to http://www.prezcon.com and hit the schedule link to see the entire Settler of Catan schedule. We will also host our very first pre-con Settlers of Catan event. On Monday Feb 18th 2013 we will host our Variant event. What does that mean you ask? The format for the event will be Swiss. When you sit down your table chooses the settlers variant the table wants to play. You score points based on how well you do in each game. The winner of the Championship plaque will be the person scores the most points over the four rounds of play. PrezCon will run 94 Board game Tournaments over 5 days! We will surely have something for all gamers. 24 hour open Gaming in its new home the Promenade Ballroom. Our Games Library free to all who are attending the con. Our 20th annual Live Game Auction and Auction store will happen Thursday Evening in Giorgio’s & Treetops next to the bar. Mayfair, GMT, Columbia Games, Worthington Games and many more dealers will attend the con starting Friday Feb 22nd 2013 and run until we close Sunday. Strategicon's Orccon 2012 is honored to once again host a Pre-Pre-Qualifier for the Catan North American Championship 2013. Players will compete to win a trip to Origins 2013 to play for a seat in the CNAC. The trip includes hotel, 4 day badge to Origins (both sponsored by Mayfair) and air transportation (sponsored by Strategicon). Orccon 2013 will provide attendees with two chances on Saturday and Sunday afternoon to qualify for a seat in the Semi-Finals on Sunday night. Full details are available at the convention website. CNAC 2013 Qualifier - Capricon - Capricon 32 - Westin Chicago North Shore, WheelingFri, Feb 08, 2013 (04:00 PM) - Sun, Feb 10, 2013 (02:00 PM)
Capricon 33, in conjunction with Mayfair Games, is proud to host a Qualifier for the Catan North American Championships 2013 to the attending members. Players will compete to win a trip to GenCon Indy 2013 to play for a seat in the CNAC. The trip to GenCon Indy will include double occupancy hotel, a four day badge to GenCon Indy, and $150 towards transportation cost. There will be two chances to qualify for a seat in the Semi-Finals on Sunday. A three-round tournament will be held on both Friday and Saturd...ay. The top 16 players from the combination of those two days will advance to the Semi-Finals. Players do not have to play both Friday and Saturday, we will take your best day’s score. You can play one or both days. Whichever day has your highest score, Friday or Saturday, will be your score taken for rankings. Rankings will be by win/loss record with ties broken by points scored. Only three (3) games will be played Friday and three (3) games played on Saturday. Semi-Finals will be Sunday morning at 10 AM. The top 16 players will play one (1) game at four tables of four players. The winner from each of the four tables will then play one (1) final game to determine the overall Capricon 2013 CNAC Qualifier Winner! 1st Chance – Friday, February 8 at 4 PM 2nd Chance – Saturday, February 9 at 11:30 AM Semi- Finals – Sunday, February 10 at 10 AM Finals – Sunday, February 10 after the Semi-Finals Players must be 18 years or older. The fifth annual GottaCon Gaming Convention held February 1 – 3, 2013 at Pearkes Recreation Centre in the Field House Room (24,000 Sqft). GottaCon will run 24hrs a day starting at 5pm Friday and will continue with non-stop gaming until 7pm Sunday night. GottaCon will have all you need to survive such an adventure; contests, tournaments, exhibitors, demonstrations, discussion panels, food, drinks, entertainment and of course all types of games. |

Every year Cat & Mouse Game Store holds a series of six Settlers of Catan tournaments, where novices and experts alike gather to trade and build over that famous field of hexes. This year, in addition to the friendly competition, each preliminary event will include snacks, drinks, and a variety of prizes. That's more FUN for everyone! This series is a Catan North American Championship qualifying event. The winner of each tournament will advance to the Cat & Mouse Catan Final in Spring 2013, and the winner of the final will go to the national competition at GenCon in August 2013. Alex Kevern, our champion from the 2011-12 season. We sent him to compete in the national championship at GenCon, and he won! |

Gamer's Armory Catan North American Championship pre-pre-qualifier Round #1 - The Gamer's Armory, CarySat, Dec 29, 2012 (11:00 AM - 06:00 PM)
- Each Pre-Qualifier Event will accommodate a maximum of 40 Participants - The Entry Fee for each Pre-Qualifier Event will be $10.00 per person - The number of Rounds for each Pre-Qualifier Event will be 3 - The number of Players per Table for each Pre-Qualifier Event will be 3 to 4 - Each Round will be timed = 1 Hour and 30 minutes - A Seating Chart will be used to assign Player order and seating for each Event/Round The 1st & 2nd Place winner of each Pre-Qualifier Event will receive a Gift Certificate! The amounts will be determined by the number of participants. In addition to prizes to the top winners, participants may also receive small participation prizes and raffles. Please Note: We only have limited amounts of each type of participation prize so they will be given out on a first come first serve basis, while supplies last. The Top 8 Winners of each Pre-Qualifier Event will be awarded a spot to The Gamer’s Armory Settlers of Catan North American Championship Invitational Event being held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 am. The winner of our Invitational Event on June 8th will be awarded a spot to the Third Annual North American Catan Championship, to be held at GenCon 2013 in Indianapolis, IN, August 15-18, 2013. Travel expenses (up to $250.00), Lodging and Event Entry fees will be covered by The Gamer’s Armory and Mayfair Games. The NACC Champion will not only receive a variety of great prizes, but they will also be sponsored by Mayfair Games to participate in the 2014 World Wide Catan Championship in Germany. |
